Urban Cookies now offers SIX different types of cupcakes

Starting today, Urban Cookies will offer a selection of SIX different types of cupcakes. We will continue with our Double Chocolate, Carrot, and Brown Velvet cupcakes while incorporating a Seasonal and Vanilla Cupcake along with a new Black and White cupcake into our daily baking schedule. The Black and White cupcake will have our chocolate butter cream ganache on top of our moist vanilla cake. We are hoping to give another cupcake option to our chocolate lovers while exposing some who felt overwhelmed by our double chocolate cupcake but wanted to try the awesomely decadent chocolate butter cream ganache frosting.

Our seasonal cupcake for the month of February is a strawberry cupcake. It has a strawberry butter cream frosting with a strawberry and vanilla cake underneath. We hope to see you at the retail store soon.

New Saturday Hours 11am-5pm

Just to let everyone know that we will be changing our retail store hours for Saturday to 11am -5pm. This will go into effect tomorrow January 29th 2011. Thank you all for keeping up with our social media announcements and we look forward to seeing you soon.

Lemon Flavors to be found at the retail store

All this month we will have both our Lemon Cupcakes and Citrus Shortbread.

The Lemon Cupcakes feature a lemon butter cream frosting atop a lemon-vanilla cake. For those of you who have not yet tried it we say only this, you should. A good number of people have been asking us when these little bits of lemony goodness would be made again and counting the days until their re-release. Get them while you can.

Also, our citrus shortbread is a bit different from the previous year. We have shaped them in a traditional cookie form as opposed to a rectangle or "brick" shape. They are crispy on the outside but soft and buttery on the inside with a scent of lemon that involves the nose as much as the mouth while eating them.

Fall Flavors in Season at Urban Cookies

 This September Urban Cookies is featuring flavors of the fall with our seasonal cookies and cupcakes. Our resident baker/alchemist has concocted a shortbread cookie with roasted pears and brown sugar to steal the show on our retail store's cookie counter. These hefty cookies are ideal for picnics or parties with the grandparents. On that note, if you are looking for a special way to say thanks to your grandparents this September 12th (it's Grandparent's Day for those without cool desk calendars), then order one of our custom gift boxes with a Grandparent's Day design. You can insert your own custom message and thank them on a holiday they may not have even known celebrates them.  

 We have also debuted another brand new cupcake in our monthly seasonal rotation. It's a spiced apple cake topped with a caramel butter cream frosting. We call it "Caramel Apple' for short. We expect it to be another crowd pleaser like all the other seasonal cupcake flavors that we have featured so far this year. It's a good bet that these will sell quickly so if you'd like to order more than a couple calling ahead would be the best option.

New specials available with Foursquare.

At Urban Cookies we are always searching for better ways to get the best deals to our most loyal customers. It seemed like an obvious move for us to start utilizing our Foursquare page. We are now going to have weekly specials dependent on the number of times that you check in. We will post each new weekly special on Saturdays so be on the look out tomorrow for the next special. Currently we are giving away a free Simple Urban cookie for every third check in at our store.

Yesterday, July 23^rd, was our most successful FEEL GOOD FRIDAY to date. “What is a Feel Good Friday and how does it differ from any of the other Fridays in my life”, you ask? Here at Urban Cookies we like to say thank you to all of our faithful Twitter followers by giving them a treat for keeping up with our daily posts. We select one Friday every month to be designated as a FEEL GOOD FRIDAY and on that day we give away cookies. We will post early that Friday morning on Twitter and let people know that if they mention that tweet they will receive a one free cookie at our retail store. We think it’s a pretty good deal. So the old saying about Arizona having a "dry heat" is pretty much out the window this weekend. Come on by the store and grab one ,or seven, of our Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches. We are letting the customer create their own sandwiches with the option of using any two different cookies with vanilla ice cream in the middle. So with 5 cookies to choose from the possibilities are vast. See you then.

July's Hottest Picks at the Retail Store.

This month Urban Cookies is featuring Lemon cupcakes with a lemon butter cream frosting resting on a vanilla cake. We also have Cherry Sugar cookies with dark italian sour cherries. These Cherry Sugar cookies provide a terrific new alternative for our Ice Cream Cookie Sandwiches, which can have any two different cookies on either side that you choose. Don't be left out in the heat this summer, come by our retail store to enjoy all these new additions.

 

P.S. We make the Ice Cream Cookies Sandwiches to order so they have a tendency to melt quickly, please keep this in mind if you are thinking about bringing them home from the retail store.
